With 17 years in education, Ms. Combs has spent many years making a difference in the lives of students and being part of something bigger than herself. Her dedication and commitment to education are something worth celebrating! Fun fact about Ms. Combs: She once traveled to Peru for missionary work, where she helped build a church! How amazing is that? Not only does she make a difference in the classroom, but she has also made a difference in the lives of others beyond it.
Ms. Combs, thank you for all you do and for the heart you bring to your work. We are so happy to celebrate you and this well-deserved recognition! 🏆💐

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Ms. Thomas, IR Prep’s Teacher of the Year! 🏆🍎
Ms. Thomas’s journey into education is a great reminder that sometimes the best paths in life are the ones we never planned! She never imagined becoming a teacher while in college, but about 10 years ago, a principal believed in her and encouraged her to take that leap. Today, she is making a difference in the lives of students every day! ❤️ Since then, Ms. Thomas has earned certifications in four areas, added two endorsements, and completed her master’s degree in Special Education with an impressive 4.0 GPA—just to prove to her kids that Mom still had it! Talk about dedication! 👏🎓 For Ms. Thomas, teaching is about more than lessons and textbooks. It’s about getting to know her students, discovering what makes them tick, and finding creative ways to help them succeed. If a student loves football, she might use the game to teach math! 🏈 Her goal is simple but powerful: to be the kind of teacher who finds a way to reach every student and help them learn in the way that works best for them.
When she’s not inspiring students, you might find her swimming, watching her daughter coach softball, enjoying her son’s crazy spotting videos, competing in his Fantasy Football league, taking a cruise, or cheering on her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes! ❤️🤍🏈
A fun fact about Ms. Thomas? She learned to drive a manual transmission at just 12 years old! She also lives by some wonderful lessons from her family: her dad taught her that education is something no one can take away from you, her mom taught her the importance of finances, and her family reminds her that a smile costs nothing and there’s always room for a little fun in life. 😊
Ms. Thomas, thank you for bringing your heart, creativity, and dedication to IR Prep. Your story, your passion for learning, and your commitment to helping every student shine are exactly what make you so special.
Congratulations on being named Teacher of the Year! We are proud to have you as part of our Eagle family! 🦅💙
Drop a 💙 or leave Ms. Thomas a congratulatory message in the comments!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the courage of first responders, and the resilience of a nation forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.
In schools across our District, we take time to honor the significance of this day, ensuring our students understand the importance of unity, service, and compassion in the face of tragedy. As we reflect, we are reminded of the strength found in community and the enduring impact of coming together in support of one another.
We will never forget.

From building strategies to testing their teamwork with the sink or swim boat challenge, the day was filled with energy, laughter, and a shared vision for success.
Stronger teams. Deeper connections. A great start to an amazing year!
